Water baptism is a powerful step of obedience and a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Following the example of Jesus Himself, baptism symbolizes our identification with His death, burial, and resurrection. As believers are submerged in water, they reflect Christ’s sacrifice; as they rise, they proclaim new life in Him.
We believe water baptism represents three key truths:

• You are stepping into a transformed life in Him.
• You are now part of God’s family.

WHY SHOULD I BE WATER BAPTIZED?

To follow the example set by Christ. (Mark 1:9)
Because Christ asks us to. (Matthew 28:19-20)
It demonstrates that I really am a believer. (Acts 18:8) (1 John 2:3)

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF WATER BAPTISM?

It is a public demonstration that you are a follower of Christ and His Teaching (Matthew 28:19-20)
It symbolizes spiritual cleansing. (1 Corinthians 6:11)
It pictures the true meaning of salvation. (Romans 6:1-4) (Ephesians 2:8-9)
Water baptism doesn’t make you a believer – it shows that you already believe.

1) Towel
2) Appropriate clothing to get wet such as dark shorts or pants and dark shirt
No white shirts, string tank tops, swimsuits, etc.
3) Dry clothing to wear after baptism
